Lost/Found Pet Tips... post on Pawboost and Nextdoor (to all neighborhoods). Post on these two FB pages, use both links.... Lost and Found Pets Randolph County, NC and Lost and Found Pets Asheboro NC and Surrounding Areas - You are welcome to post here! Please include date, lost/found, street, town, state, county, and phone number along with pics! Dog theft is a felony in the state of NC. If you are looking for your pet, be sure to go in person to RCAS because they do not post every animal on their website and they can euthanize animals for space after 72 hours. Be sure to get proof of ownership, pics of person claiming and dog together, rabies certificate, vet records, and ask for picture ID when releasing a pet to anyone trying to make a claim, meet in a public place, and scan for a microchip. Found companion animals, even if presumably strays must be held and potential owners actively searched for in case these pets are actually lost, escaped a yard, or stolen and dumped.
