So. We were on our way to a BBQ. And literally right down the street from Homeward Bound is this dog, burning its paws off in the middle of the road, panting. We got her into our van. Lots of phone calls. All animal hosps and vets are closed. So she's came with us to the BBQ! Thankfully, one of the guests there was a veterinarian and another one is a retired vet tech! So they'll at least help in the interim. Her nails are very long and she looks malnourished. Her pads are burnt from being on the asphalt. She looks young. Very friendly girl! She stayed with us overnight and we will take her to Homeward Bound when they open to get checked for a chip.
