Hannah Sonberg Please put smaller handout flyers (print 4/pg) in churches, schools, stores, restaurants, any place crowds go and can pick one up. Keep them simple - not over crowded with information. Also hang full size flyers in the neighborhood and hand out to all your neighbors. Give a few to each person you see that has a job that moves - mail, ups, fedx, landscapers, road crews, plows, etc, restaurants that deliver, floral, I also ask local pizza places if you can stick one to each box so they go out with the delivery. Flyers on poles etc where people see when they drive - make as simple and large as possible to read while driving and putting in plastic page holder upside down and sealed will help protect against weather. Also give flyers to all the local veterinarians in the area. Ask if local TV and radio stations will do a short announcement and post on their pages. Also post on the RING app and next door app for people who don’t have social media.

This is my baby, thank you all for the kind words and advice thus far. No luck yet but I am hopeful. She is strictly indoors for 2 years but lived outside (on Plymouth by Stitch Buffalo) prior to me taking her in. Please feel free to message me if you see her or hear anything!

Put smelly wet food outside, hav a hart traps work, check them often. At night shine a flashlight you may catch reflection of his eyes. Check shed, garages, under cars, anyplace he could hide or be stuck. Put up flyers, especially at vet offices. Talk to neighbors, ask if they have security cameras that may catch him walking by. They tend to move early morning and evenings. Put out used litter and fav humans worn clothes, familiar smells help bring them in. If possible, leave a patio or garage door open so he can get in. Contact rescues & county shelters, take a pic. Physically check county shelter often, they are busy. She will be very scared & may go into survival mode, she may not respond to you. Some wait until they're starving to come out for food. Keep food/trap out & check often. If you have another cat, try putting them outside in a SECURE carrier. Their meows may call the lost one in. Pray. Don't give up!

Shared. Assuming he is strictly an indoor cat: He is likely hiding somewhere very nearby, on your own property or very near. It is rare for an indoor cat to go further than a house or two away. He is terrified and will not come out or respond to your calls. If he comes out at all it will only be at night. Look for him after dark with a flashlight. Look in every tiny space he could possibly squeeze himself into. The flashlight will let you see the glow of his eyes. Put out his litter, some worn clothing with your scent (pillowcases work great, worn socks) and some stinky food (tuna, sardines, KFC). Leave scent trails to your door with something like tuna juice or chicken broth. Indoor cats get lost very easily. In their fear they become disoriented and can’t find their way back to your door even though they are right on your property. But they have a VERY strong sense of smell. Do these things and they will help your baby find his way back to your door. If it’s feasible, leave the door ajar for him. Your indoor cat doesn’t know your house from the outside, but he knows it from the inside. Every house has a smell, and yours smells like “home”. If you leave the door ajar, he will smell it and run right in. Another thing you can do is sleep outside. A few people have done that recently with great success. Best of luck!
