Message from Owner

Our sweet indoor kitty, Krissy, slipped out the front door on the morning of July 1 and hasn’t made her way home yet. Krissy is very shy and will most likely hide or run if approached, so please don’t chase her. If you see her, even just knowing she’s safe and staying cool during this heat wave would mean the world to us. Our two kids have been checking the front door constantly, hoping she’ll come home, and we’re holding onto hope that she’s still close by, hiding somewhere safe, and enjoying her little adventure in the great outdoors. If you spot Krissy, please let us know where and when you saw her. Thank you so much for keeping an eye out and helping us bring our girl home.

Barbara Cass sorry, I guess I get why you believe that, but just don’t agree, so you, do you. I’ll continue to suggest whatever might work as it actually did for me when my indoor cat escaped, and has for several others in documented cases I know of suggested and posted by local rescue groups. I believe any means necessary is particularly critical right now in this excessive dangerous heat.

Beth Talley Hill , NO NO NO to kitty litter. Please stop 🛑 advocating for this tip. It attracts predators and any other stray cats in vicinity. It confuses drives the lost cat and drives it away from its home. ( The scent can be carried far). Many tips available online.

Put out her kitty litter on stoop near door and lay a piece of clothing her favorite people in your family have recently worn without washing around entrances too so she can be drawn back to the scent she recognizes. In this excessive heat weather a bowl of water around all entrances would be good too. Hope she’s found safe and sound soon.

Oh gosh with 4th coming soon she will hopefully be back home!! Put out her water and food bowls with strong smelling water. Put out items with your scent on them & hers. Go out VERY late at night with a flashlight looking for her eyes and call her quietly. Look in sheds, garages, bushes anywhere a cat can slip into. Indoor cats stay close to home. Check cameras in the area. Post on nextdoor.com More people will see this. Praying she's safe and home REAL SOON 🙏 ❤️
