It doesn’t take long for a little dog with long hair to get I that condition. Especially if they went through sprinklers or rain. And burrs will stick to them immediately when walking in areas that have them. I wouldn’t assume the owners were bad just by her appearances. Hopefully her whole body was checked and rechecked for a chip. They can migrate and have heard the chip didn’t register at first but then did at a later check. Thank you so much for helping her and prayers that her family and she get reunited soon. 💕🐾

I don’t think original owners should get it back if it was in such bad shape. This poor soul. Praying it gets a good family.

We took her to the vet this morning and given her state they said it appears that she was dumped….they also said that most if not all shelters in Fort Worth are shelters. Definitely do not want to do that. My best hope is that someone I know will adopt her.

Madeleine Carithers please screen whoever claims to be a rescue. Rescues can tag from shelters if no reclaim or adoption takes place. Gives owner an opportunity to first reclaim within stray hold, thank you.

She has since been shaved and washed. Took her to check for microchip this morning, sadly none. :(
