The rescue will have people he knows and many times they will come help find him. I know our rescue does when one of our adopted dogs does a runner.

Check with all your local and surrounding area shelters and vets and put up flyers. Also check on craigs list under pets found and pets for sale. Also check on all the lost and found sites and on Nextdoor. Post on your local and County lost and found sites. Report your pup to the shelter and always go look in person. Praying for your pups safe return

If he was adopted from a rescue be sure to let them know. They will send notice out to their fosters to be on the lookout.
