Thanks for helping this dog, but please do not rehome this dog as perhaps the owners have not found him/her yet. If you can’t keep the dog then most people look for their dogs at the shelter. Please do not rehome someone else’s dog.

That dog needs to be checked for a chip before he goes anywhere! There could’ve been owners looking for him and they’ve given up because he was kept for 8 months - some rescues will not care if he had an owner looking - at the very least have him checked for a chip
