What to do if you’ve found a stray animal. Please secure them if at all possible while a search is made for the owners. If you can please have them scanned for a microchip. Any vet or pet store will do it free of charge. File a found report with the shelters. Post on 559 lost and found pets, Nextdoor and the Ring app if possible. Put up picture posters around the neighborhood. Notify your mail person. They can be a great resource since they are in the neighborhood. They may recognize the animal. Any vet's office in PetSmart will scan for a microchip at no charge please file a found report with your local shelters in case someone's missing this little guy
