I have been hearing a bird chirping that sounds like a domestic bird off of Kennedy Drive in Capitola. It’s at the field off of Sills Court in the Capitola Knolls complex on Park and Kennedy.

I know this is a stretch, but there is a sed nursing facility at 1115 Capitol Rd. with a small aviary full of happy parakeets. It's possible that if your boy showed up here they would have let him into the aviary to stay warm and safe. Worth checking out!
