Tank is a large sulcata tortoise he went missing last tuesday September 30th in the SE area of Ocala near Advent we miss him dearly and have a sizable reward available for his safe return. These turtles can travel 2-3 miles a day so the longer hes missing the larger the search area please reach out to me at (352) 421-0592 we have many many pics of him for identification thank you for reading!

Tim FWC is law enforcement and oversees this. I worked with them for many years. From the FWC website "The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) permits moving a gopher tortoise only if it is in immediate danger, such as crossing a busy road, and it must be moved in the same direction it was heading. You cannot take it home, keep it as a pet, or move it to a new location. "

Have you thought about walking through the wooded area area around 31st and 475? With this cold weather he may be hiding and scared and waiting for warmer weather to venture out. It's supposed to be 61 today. I just drove up past the 3-way stop and was looking for him but I was only able to look from my car. I certainly hope nobody has stolen him but people these days are so cruel. Oh no, I just re-read your post and he's been missing since Sept. 30th, I missed that first time around. Oh my, he could be anywhere by now. Don't give up, you never know.
