Please check out website 3retrievers.com, best info on finding lost pets. Run by a man who started a company to search for lost pets after his cat was lost. Tells you what works best, some surprising such as DO NOT call her name in a loud voice, it’s the same voice she’s heard when in trouble. Instead walk through your neighborhood talking to yourself, their hearing is so much better than ours, she will hear and recognize. Take favorite treats and shake the container. Best times to search are dawn and dusk, take a flashlight and scan under parked cars, porches, steps, bushes etc. If it picks up cat eyes they will be reflected back to you. And as others have suggested put something from the house outside, that would have YOUR or HER scent on it. If she’s disoriented, the scent can lead her back home.

Put out something that she's familiar with that carries her scent (a bed, a blanket but NOT a litterbox). CALL FOR HER IN THE QUIET, STILL HOURS (11pm-7am). THIS IS SO IMPORTANT (5am seems to be the luckiest hour)!!!!!!! Scared cats move around while the rest of the world is still. Put out food in intervals (not at night) when you can keep an eye out. Talk to your neighbors, generally, they don't go far and find an open garage or shed to huddle down. If these suggestions don’t work: lost pet cats may not respond the way you’d expect your beloved kitty to and they may not just come to your calling so be prepared to have to use a humane trap (she will return to herself once she’s back inside) and put signs in your local pet store (if someone takes her in they will need litter and food).
