Message from Owner

Please help my fur baby find his way back home. He is a huge Mama's boy and I am sure he wonders where I am and how to get home. He is an 8 year old F1 red goldendoodle (allegedly) and he weighs 85lbs. SWEET and big old baby!! He answers to Otis and is fiercely loyal. I hope he is ok. (Male/neutered)

Here's a few suggestions that might help. As soon as your dog has gone missing start looking for it right away for long as you can. If it’s a small dog, check inside your home throughly. Leave your garage door open slightly with its dog bed just inside the door. Put an unwashed article of clothing outside or something with a familiar scent. (Preferably hang it so the wind can carry the scent). Focus your search during times when your neighborhood or communities are quieter- dusk and dawn. If you have another dog you might take it with you. Call animal control and file a missing report at the shelter with pic. Pass out flyers to all veterinarians, and mail carriers. Keep In mind that not everyone is on Facebook. Text your neighbors and friends and asked them to share. Notify microchip company. Post on all local sites with contact information and location. Pass out flyers. Hang large neon posters with contact information large enough to be seen from a car. Focus on areas that have food and water sources. Fast food restaurants seem to be a magnet for them. Some seem to follow or hang around railroad tracks. Be sure to check under porches, in garages, sheds, window wells, ditches. etc. Never assume the dog will come to you. If spotted, Do Not Chase or Call it. While searching the last known area, shake their food dish or a bag such as a chip bag. ◦

I do hope someone finds your pup... m Many years ago, ours broke out of our gate during the fireworks show & ended up 2 miles away at a farmhouse (we lived in a small town). We weren't home & had no idea the local ball field show at the other end of town scared her so much.
