For those who think it's okay to let their cats wander, it is only a matter of time before something terrible happens to your cat. Outdoors is not safe, cars, predators, poisons, evil people, too many dangers to list. Please keep cats indoors, or safely secured if outdoors (such as in a catio, walking on a leash, etc). Roaming outdoors is a DEATH SENTENCE. Everyday, I read dozens of missing cat posts on NextDoor, and most cats are missing due to OWNER NEGLECT. And, sadly, many of these kitties will never make it home.

He’s been hanging out on our porch all day since early this morning. He meows at the front door like he wants to come in 😆 He’s very sweet. I will take him to get scanned if he’s still here tomorrow. I’m just worried he’s going to get in a fight with our indoor/outdoor cat when he comes home tonight. Our cat is very territorial.

Michelle St. Clair The safest place for cats is inside the house. There are cars, predators, cruel people, etc. So many dangers in letting them free roam. You might consider a catio for safety. If this is your kitty, he is very cute, but should not be free roaming for his safety.

Take by vet to scan for chip. Require proof of ownership. Post on Nextdoor and post flyers. File online found reports with shelters.

This possibly could be my cat Jay who is chipped. He wanders all the time. Not sure. We are in Fair Oaks off New York though. Not sure he could make it that far.
