Shared❣ 🦴🐕🐾 LOST OR FOUND🐕🙏🦵👂👀🦮🦝👁🦜🦎🐢🐓🐾🐔🐇🐷🐄🦊🐏🦔🐹🦓🐏🐈🐒🐖🐭🦄🐆🐕‍🦺 Scan for a microchip at the vet or a shelter. Post lost of found pet on NEXTDOOR, it will notify 27 surrounding neighborhoods. NEIGHBORS by RING www.search.petfbi.org www.LostDogsofAmerica.org free flyer www.helpinglostpets.com free flyer www.lostmydoggie.com free flyer www.lostmykitty.com free flyer www.petamberalert.com www.helpingalabamapets.com www.pawboost.com free flyer www.humaneshelter.com Post lost or found report in person or on website, If possible, go in person and look for yourself. File a police report that your pet has been lost or stolen, Contact Animal Control Contact the Sanitation Dept. to see if a deceased pet has been picked up off the road. Sometimes this job is outsourced to a 3rd party. Cinco in Montgomery. Call all the Vet Clinics to see if an injured pet has been brought in. Flyers can be printed off on your own printer with glossy photo paper❣Attach with all 4 corners and it will hold up even in rain. Home depot sells the nails with a big round tack behind it. Post a sign in your front yard. I'mPost on all main intersections, Gas stations, Grocery stores. Print off flyers on regular copy paper to hand out to neighbors and businesses. If you don't have the time to do this you can pay the upgrade feet at the lost and found websites and they offer a robo calls calls to businesses shelter's vet clinics, etc. And they actually call because I got a robo call for my own dog and other people told me they got one also. 🗨Ask questions and actually talk to people, it's great crowd sourcing info source 👀🦵🤝🦿🤳👂👅👍👌💯✋ Place your pet's bedding, litter box, toys, and some of your dirty laundry outside hang up for the wind to catch the scent.Grill out! Set up a feeding station❣ Do not Chase! Feeding station will keep them in the local area without traveling more miles away from your home. Water and open the stinkiest can of cat food you can find. Check back frequently to see if any of the food has been eaten. If possible set up a trail camera. You could order one from Web under $160. In the heat they may sleep🌟 during the day,☀️ and travel and eat at night!🌛🌓 Certain dogs are more susceptible to getting heat stroke (dogs over 110 lbs.and flatfaced breeds,,chow, bulldog, pug.) A scared animal maybe right there in the bushes next to you when you're calling but they are now in survival mode, Fight flight or freeze. They may not even answer you or recognize you. They will follow back trails, railroad tracks, river banks, ditches, creeks, places that are soft on their feet and away from traffic. Listen for other dogs barking in the neighborhood when your pet may be visiting by their fence. They may travel several miles a day so be quick about putting up signs and getting the word out. It's easier to post signs in the later evening after dark after the traffic has ceased❣ Google your location and print off a map of the area❣ Recruit your neighbors, family and friends to help. You can post on the lost and found and neighborhood groups on Facebook Someone can post to other lost and found sites on the Web. Some else can print off flyers. Someone can go door-to-door to talk to people and hand out flyers, In some instances the dog has been heard inside the person's home barking when they hear your voice at the door especially little dogs that cost a lot of money like yorkies. This actually happened to a friend of mine when we were looking for her dog. Someone can talk to neighbors, mail man, UPS man, Fed Ex man, the sanitation man, nosy neighbors, retired neighbors, Police Patrol,Playing children)can post flyers. Someone can make phone calls to shelters, vet clinics, businesses, eateries, Listen to your gut❣If you start to notice your signs are being taken down, your pet may be in that particular area. 🙄They're going to have to let them out sometime.Be on guard and vigilant! Eyes and ears open, feet pounding the pavement, voice calling their name, hands hammering up signs❣ When people get off work theyll let the pets out. Good Samaritans will sometimes pick up your pet and keep, usually up to 2 weeks. They convinced themselves that the animal must have been mistreated or neglected otherwise it wouldn't be running around loose. DO NOT gather a large group of people to look for your pet❣ This will only scare the lost pet, who is already petrified, confused and disoriented! It will only drive them into hiding or worse, further away! Change your voicemail! State your name, city and state, pet's name, If I miss your call Please leave a message and I will return your call ASAP ❣ Even an animal you spot from a distance can be posted to a public lost and found website❣ Pet Name:: UNKNOWN Photo: Post a look alike PHOTO from google Nearest crossroads: Nearest main road or landmark cut was spotted. Temperament of pet: Friendly, shy, skittish, aggressive, approachable, etc. Description: Short ears or long years, Are ears standing up or lying down, Short tail or long tail, 3 main colors of pet, ,***SCAM ALERT!! File a missing report with the humane shelter and post flyers at vets, groomers, shelters, animal emergency clinics, store, banks, intersections, neighborhoods, highways, salons. Churches, schools, playgrounds, parks, dog parks, etc... When out calling stay in one spot at least 15minutes so not to confuse the pet where to come to you. Check wooded areas nearby, neighbors houses, drainage ditches, under anything can crawl into for safety, security cameras/ring cameras in area , traffic light cameras in the area if possible, abandoned buildings ,dirt roads nearby, garages, highways, behind closed doors, storage sheds, in/around vehicles, farms/barns, fields, near dumpsters, behind restaurants, near water, in holes pet could've fell into and can't get out of, cemetery, schools, playgrounds, dog parks, parks, etc.... Use the MEDIA to help get your pet back. The more publicity the better chance. Prayers
