Message from Finder

This rabbit was spotted and posted on Next Door by someone else. I’m just trying to locate him/her in the event they’ve been dumped by an irresponsible pet owner. Domestic rabbits cannot survive in the wild.

Sara Dore' Yes, they were a pair. Thanks for sharing! They're now safe at SAS. Someone has spotted another domestic rabbit in that area, so if your husband could please keep an eye out, snap a photo and DM me, that would be great. Thanks!

🐰 UPDATE: They're Safe! 🐰 Great news! It took three of us working together, but we were able to safely catch both of the domestic rabbits that had been abandoned in the area. They are now safe at Seattle Animal Shelter, where they'll receive the care they need and are now available for adoption. Meet them here: 🐇 https://www.petplace.com/pet-adoption/pet/61439875/PP6177 🐇 https://www.petplace.com/pet-adoption/pet/61439877/PP6177 Special thanks to Shannon for posting the original photo that alerted us to these rabbits—it was the first step in getting them to safety. ❤️ Please remember: Domestic rabbits are not wild rabbits. If they are abandoned or released outdoors, they are extremely vulnerable to predators, disease, vehicles, and starvation. Most will not survive. If you can no longer care for a pet rabbit, please contact a local rabbit rescue or animal shelter instead of releasing them outside. It truly can mean the difference between life and death. Seattle Animal Shelter (Seattle) Special Bunny (Carnation) Rabbit Haven (Gig Harbor) Hopefully these two will soon find the loving indoor home they deserve.

My husband works at the Broadview library at 130th and Greenwood and has also seen this one nearby. I would guess that they’re a pair.
