I believe this pup was posted on here. Please read though posts until you find the pup. You are required to post the gender of the pup. This is general information I share with finders of lost dogs… Thank you for helping this lost pup! 🐾Please review this PawBoost post on Facebook - INCLUDE your phone number where it asks for it because it allows for the reunification for you and the owner. Again, do NOT post your # in the body of your post. Please keep checking the post at least several times daily, and all new posts, until the owner is found. 🐾Also check the PawBoost WEBSITE (PawBoost.com) in a browser, because you can get a wider range of lost dogs, and see if the pup is posted as LOST. You can do searches by breed, color, location…Please keep checking back to your Found post, but also looking for new Lost posts. Also: ❌IMPORTANT: One DAY ONE, you are required to file a Found Pet Report (with photo) with the closest shelter. Some shelter websites allow to file the report on their webpage. Also, browse through their lost pet logs. The pet logs are Lost & Found pet reports from pet owner/ finders who either call in or file online reports to the shelter. Remember, because of California law, you can ONLY legally adopt from a shelter or approved rescue. ❌ Have the pup scanned for a microchip at a vet or a shelter/animal services. If a microchip is found, it is your obligation to deliver the pup to your local animal control agency (shelter) to have them contact the owner and return the pet. ❌Post on various other local lost/found pet forums, on Facebook; also Next Door, Craigslist, 24PetConnect, etc. ❌You can foster the pup for the mandatory hold time for your county, which I think is 14 days (not the same as the shelter hold time). If you are fostering, make a “found pet” poster (free in PawBoost) and make copies, posting them around the location they were found, your neighborhood., local stores, schools, vets. 80% of lost pets are found within ONE mile of home, so check your local area and speak with neighbors. Remember, some older adults do not use social media. ❌ Watch out for sc@mmers! Verify ownership through: dog recognition of owner; vet records, photos & media; social media.
