Put his favorite toy and his bedding outside, preferably in a fenced in area. Also, I would put the owners used pillowcase in a pair of old shoes as well. He’s close, but afraid he smell his way back home. And as far as the litter box, it doesn’t matter, it’s cleaned down or not.
