Indoor kitties usually stay close to home. Put something with your scent on it (unwashed clothes) outside. Check under your porch, under grills, in sheds, garages…. Including neighbors if possible. The cat could have gotten stuck in a neighbors shed/garage or even a basement with doors left open looking for shelter. Go door to door and ask if anyone has seen the cat. Flyers, flyers, flyers (important) ….. put flyers in surrounding neighbor’s mailboxes in case someone starts feeding the cat … not everyone is on social media. (Leave out bowl of stinky foods , such as tuna. Some people disagree with this). If there’s a sighting, set a trap with worn pieces of your clothing. Also look around at night under bushes and shrubs.
If you can, leave the door open slightly where he escaped, he might try to return through the same door. Good luck ..
