Pat McLeish I put up a 5 foot gate in my house. I keep rare earth magnets on it to hold it tight. Paco knows how to push it up, but those magnets are stronger than him. Finally outsmarted him!

Susie Wilson Vicary we have to deadbolt the doors when we leave because she figured out how to use the door latches, and the wooden gate latches, and the chain link fence lock. Next step is installing the automatic gate opener. I can't wait to see how she defeats that one. She never goes beyond an immediate neighbor's yard and lays there until someone sends her home. She just likes out-witting the humans.

Pat McLeish it's just hard to think they may get injured. I had to put up a 6 foot fence for a stray pit mix last summer that I kept.

Susie Wilson Vicary we have three layers of fencing and GPS trackers that alert when the dogs leave the yard. Still our Husky manages to get out every so often. All of our neighbors know our dog and shepherd her home when they find her layering in their yard. Even the kids know she's no threat and walk her home. We try everything but she's very smart and determined to find a new way out.

When an animal has a home....why are they running loose ALL THE TIME? Animals escape and get loose, but when there are perpetual runners that have a home, shouldn't the owners be fined or something happen? Poor animals have lousy owners!

Shar Johnson-Elder IF you can, maybe share the address so if someone sees the dog, they can take it "home" I know it stinks that the dog often is loose but people could maybe still get it home & out of traffic
