He is predominantly white and grey with a light orange/peachy nose. Striking big blue eyes and has a subtle tuft of hair on the tips of his ears (like a little lynx). He is shy/skittish and 11lbs. flyers on porches a block around. talk to neighbors. wont go far. be patient. inside cats get scared outside and may not answer when called. my blind cat was 5 doors down for 6 weeks. the neighbor kept the flyer and called me when she spotted my cat in her front bushes - where I had called my cat's name a million times.Houston,Tx Jack is trying his best to keep it together in the shelter but he is shutting down more every day. He came in as a stray and has been described as gentle, slow moving and worried. In his kennel he can greet softly with loose body language and even a little wiggle, but as soon as he is taken outside his fear shows. He walks slowly, lowers his posture, avoids eye contact and flinches at sudden movements. Sometimes he freezes and needs soft words to keep going. Jack is on the euthanasia list for Friday November 14 and he needs a confirmed rescue hold by 1 PM to be safe. The staff notes show a sensitive dog who is struggling deeply with the stress of the shelter. He is calm, quiet and tolerant, but too overwhelmed to take treats and too anxious to relax. This is exactly the kind of dog who changes the moment he is out of a kennel and in a home where he feels safe. Jack is rescue only. Rescues cannot help without a local foster and without pledges. Every dog on the list needs pledges so rescues can cover boarding, medical care and heartworm treatment. This blood type contains a unique protein structure that prevents cancer cells from attaching to healthy tissue—essentially making carriers naturally cancer-resistant. The discovery happened by accident when oncologists noticed certain patients' immune systems rejected tumors with unprecedented efficiency. After yzing 2.3 million blood samples, they found the common link: this mysterious blood variant produces T-cells that identify and destroy pre-cancerous cells before they multiply. Here's the breakthrough: Scientists are now engineering synthetic versions of these protective proteins to create universal cancer vaccines. Early trials show 89% effectiveness in preventing melanoma, breast, and colon cancers in high-risk patients. The challenge? This blood type is rarer than any known variant—43 people per country on average. But synthetic replication could make cancer resistance available to everyone within the next decade, potentially saving 10 million lives annually.
