Mitts's Owner Says

Thank you to everyone who was so kind and offered so much advice. I am very grateful, and last night she finally came back out and I am so relieved I didn't know what I do. If I woke up in the morning and she wasn't there so thank you. Everyone!!!

Theresa Hew that's the next step tomorrow to go to lummy to feed and rent one of their traps. Take it out and see if I can get Her. That way? Because yeah, oh my gosh, I fought tooth and nail to protect her and right when everything's coming together, she goes and does this...she's such a stinker! She is half bangle and a polaductor on all four pause , a snow shoe poladatal so I feel as if some of my actually keeper , instead of like , try and find the owner , and that's my biggest fear.I feel like some people wouldn't be so honest. And that's really actually quite scary 😳

Lorelei L Frank this actually didn't happen at home and she is a limited outdoor cat.Daytime , you know , maybe morning , all morning or all afternoon , she's rarely out there all day long , but she does like it outside and where she was was really quiet . She's been my 18 half your companion, and she's like my child, and she is everything in me, absolutely everything. And it's so hard just sit and wait , but that's what i'm doing. She is apolydaptal , so somehow she got out of her cage and really long story , short left my abuser. I would not leave her behind because he's not kind to her. So I had to wait a few days to get my housing and I got it!!! She got her cage open. It's not her usual cage.I barred it from a neighbour because the one I have is like kitten's eyes. She's able to open it with her incredibly agile polydactal paws 🐾 She then squeezed out between the break and the gas on the floor of the car and decided she was gonna go off for an adventure.I guess I really don't know.So I'm trying to say in the same place.I stayed here all day yesterday and today.

Please post flyers in your neighborhood, for at least a 3-block radius, and walk the neighborhood in early morning and after dark; talk to your neighbors and any workers in the neighborhood, let everyone know she’s missing. Be relentless. Keep up the in-person shelter search as often they don’t post all intakes online/phone calls might yield inaccurate information... Post on PawBoost, CL, NextDoor, etc. Make sure chip info is updated. Most importantly, keep talking to her in your head, tell her she is so missed and you’re looking for her and please come home. Visualize your reunion constantly and put out positive energy 😊 I hope this all helps, it has worked for me in a seemingly impossible situation ❤️

Someone posted this before and it’s so informative🙏🏼🫶🏻 You have to actively look for your cat and not just wait for your cat to show back up. Indoor only cats and limited outdoor access cats never go far. They go into survival mode and hide in silence. They will not always respond to you, most don’t. 3 AM is the best time to find a missing indoor only cat. This is the time they become most active and responsive. Place some dirty socks and pillow cases outside. Your scent will attratct your kitty. If you have a garage place the items near the garage door will and crack the door enough for her to get in. DO NOT leave food or a litter box outside, it can attract predators and aggressive Tom cats. Because indoor only cats hide so well they are not as likely to be killed by a predator. Don't give up, it can take weeks to find a missing indoor only cat. Use a flashlight as late at night as you can to look in trees, under cars and in bushes. Try to look for the glow of his eyes. Survival mode lasts 5 to 14 days. Once their hunger gets to a maximum they snap out of it but this is a dangerous time because they come out of hiding. Make mini flyers and hand them out to your neighbors. Most people don't pay attention to posted flyers. It's VERY VERY important that you look for her as late at night as you can. If you have other cats, watch them. If they are spending a lot of time looking out a certain window, that’s a good indication the missing cat is in that area. Wildlife and motion activated cameras are also helpful. Also ask neighbors to check their garages and honk horns before they turn the car on! Praying you find your sweet baby soon 🫶🏻🙏🏼♥️

Please borrow a trap from shelter or purchase one at Harbor Freight. Set it up near where she went missing. Bait it with mackerel or tuna. Set it in plant foliage and disguise it by covering it with a blanket or towel, even plant clippings. Make a trail with the fish juice going into the trap. Fingers crossed you find her soon.
