Message from Owner

Hoping and praying I find my baby soon. I was out of town when he ran away. And although I had several wonderful caregivers staying with him and taking care of him and his dog and cat siblings, he wandered off. I also had contractors at my hse and property. Charlie went missing once before and I found him after 6 months-With the help of my neighbors!!! I never thought this would ever happen again. But it did. I have been living in a small pool hse on my property for months because of repairs-due to Helene and a plumbing disaster. Charlie felt displaced I’m sure, as I have also felt displaced having no access to my actual hse. I need him to know I am back and that he needs to come back too. I miss him terribly. I adopted him for my Dad after my Mom . He comforted my Dad on his death bed. He means so much to me and I love him and miss him!

Thx Suzy! Great advice- And that’s how I found him before after 6 months of his disappearance- I put up laminated signs all over the place! I had a lot of false alarms but finally someone who lived at a house near where Charlie was hanging out, saw the sign and called me. It’s a marathon sometimes, as you know. I’m laminating signs now, and will be cruising my neighborhood with my head flashlight and calling his name while I shake the Kitty Temptations! Praying he hears me or the treats!❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

Doris Davis he was probably upset with all the weird changes 😞 Be sure to contact the chip company and tell them that he's missing. Also make sure your contact info is up-to-date on their website. If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up. Microchips can migrate, and it's easier for them to remember him if they have a photo in hand. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Ask all of them if they had any visitors or contractors doing work on their houses around the time he went missing. If so, call the visitors and businesses and ask them if they had an accidental stowaway. Look up in trees in case he was chased. Walk the entire neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Call him in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if he likes that kind of stuff. If he's injured or scared, he's probably hunkered down and hiding. He may not answer you when you call, but that's just instinctual, as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators. Put his beds/blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porches and around the perimeter of your yard. When he comes home, consider building or buying a catio (some people have bought pre-made chicken coops and "attached" them to their houses with kitty access through a window); or, if your yard is fenced in, consider putting up cat-fencing or coyote rollers on top of the fence to keep him safely in your yard. Good luck ❤️

Suzy Creamcheese He is microchipped. He is usually only indoor. But in the last couple of months have been having work done to my house and so all my animals and I have been living in my pool house. Since it’s been crowded, I let them play outside during the day. Then I went out of town, and had someone else stay there to take care of everybody. Everyone is here- dog and other cats but Charlie is missing. He got out once before in 2022, and was gone for 6 months! I found him with tons of signs and posts and searches. He was probably 3 miles away if not more! I cannot believe he ran away again.🙏❤️
