If they did not have a time to register the dog, the animal foundation would be listed on the Chip and then they would be able to contact the owner if the dog is brought back to the TAF.

If this cavalier was just adopted from a reputable rescue or shelter then he would be microchipped. Make sure that it is registered with your up to date information.
