Lost pets:
1. Call your chip company immediately
2. Post on ring, Nextdoor and pawboost
3. Check with neighbors within a two block radius
4. Check your shelter daily
4. Microchip your pets, register with chip company, and always make sure your chip has current contact info, maybe even add a trusted family member as a back up.
5. Answer all unknown calls!
6. Post in local lost & found groups

Los Angeles has a large array of shelters, make sure you are checking and reporting to correct shelter. (You can always check surrounding shelters, but shelters are not supposed to accept any pets not found in their jurisdiction)
