Please be on the lookout for our sweet Laney!! Our whole family including her parents Marley and Dixie miss and love her so much, we are so lost without her!! Her and her mama Dixie dug out of our backyard last Tuesday! Dixie was later found on Wednesday with an injury that required stitches and a stay overnight at the local animal hosp. The amazing homeowner who found our sweet Dixie did not originally see Laney but went back on his massive property to search for her. After extensively looking in the area where Dixie was found he did spot Laney and upon calling out to her to try to return her aswell, she was so scared she took off deeper in the wooded area of his property and onto the adjoining neighbors extensive wooded property. We have searched extensively since her last sighting in the rural area she was last seen and so far have not been able to find her. We are so desperate to find her and have her back with hear family, please contact us if you see or find her.

From the experts (this is copy & paste): IMMEDIATELY CHECK ALL SMALL SPACES!! Under houses, in sheds, in culverts, wells, every small space! Check in closets, under beds, behind dressers, in outbuildings. Go to the shelter IN PERSON, at least every other day. They are required to hold strays for only 3 days if there is no chip. IMMEDIATELY cut several smelly socks into strips and hang everywhere outside. Lost dog experts also highly recommend putting the dog's bedding outside. Create flyers, give to the mailperson, sanitation workers, vets, shelters, pin to bulletin boards at groc stores, tape to bus stops, etc. Also, highly recommend posting to as many lost pet sites as possible. Post to NEXTDOOR.COM & CRAIGSLIST.COM - many reunited in these free sites. Obtain a 'Live Trap', place near where missing, but away from roads, and in shade. Put smelly dog bedding or owner's smelly socks inside, & put water to drink. Lost dog trackers highly recommend grilling bacon outdoors! They also recommend spreading Liquid Smoke around the house.
