I hope you find your pup soon. Please try these 20 suggestions (click 'See More'): - Check shelters at least 100 miles from your home DAILY, on petharbor.com (this page is linked to all shelters and rescues in the US) - Post online with: ring, shadow app, Nextdoor, craigslist.com, Pawboost.com, LostMyDoggie.com, Petharbor.com, HelpingLostPets.com, Fidofinder.com, petango.com, lost.petcolove.org, and Findingrover.com - Check your security cameras as soon as you notice your pup is missing -Check nearby homeless encampments and leave fliers with them - Check shelter's websites as well and visit/download the app for petharbor.com to see all shelter and rescued pets - Put out unwashed clothing. Hanging dirty socks 18 inches off the ground is the most effective. Dogs navigate using wind and when socks are hung up it helps them catch scent easier than on the ground - Show the flyer of your pup to postal workers Amazon FedEx UPS and other folks working in the area and have them take a photo of the flyer and share with other drivers on the routes nearby - Deceased animals do not show up on pet harbor and sometimes microchips get missed, so checking shelters in case your pet comes in deceased is also important - Microchips are not 100% reliable. Please do not count on your dog's chip being scanned, especially is there is a chance the chip has "traveled" to another body part other than the neck. Always, call and confirm if a dog is yours, even if your pup is chipped - Not all shelters participate with pet harbor so its important to call/check shelters where you are able - File a lost report with the shelters in your area and surrounding area shelters (You can do it online on the website for Los Angeles animal services or the nearest agency to your home) - Take a fliers to the shelters and to businesses near location where pet went missing - Place his/her bedding, a piece of your unwashed clothing and a bowl of water (no food) in your front yard. He/she may be able to pick up the scent and find his/her way home - If he/she is microchipped, immediately contact the microchip company to report him/her lost, and update your contact information - Hang fliers (use a bright color board or paper) with your dog's picture in your neighborhood, surrounding areas, local shopping centers, businesses, vet's offices, groomers, etc. within a five mile radius from your home - Go door to door with the fliers as well and try to speak with people when handing them out - Make a sign with his/her picture and put it in your front yard stating he/she is missing - Post on area "lost and found pet" and community Facebook pages, area shelter Facebook pages, and newspapers, 5mile, offerup, and other 'for-sale' sites - Check the sites above for found pets and pets for sale - You can also make bumper stickers/magnets to put on your car and hand them out for others to put in their cars

Please get camera footage from your home or your neighbors and report anyone who may have stolen your pup. If your pup was stolen, they may be trying to sell your pup, so go on pages that sell dogs like offerup and 5miles. They usually say things like table or bicycle for sale and pose the dog next to the image of the item so their posts don't get removed. Please be very careful dealing with thieves. If you find your pup never send money and only meet in person after seeing proof of the health of your pup prior to meeting. Record all interactions with anyone who may have your pup.
