Message from Owner

Boo is an indoor/outdoor cat (but truly is mostly indoor). He was feeling braver about going outside after watching his brother go in and out of the hse. Usually when he went outside, he would hide under a bench or a car, and then run back inside after ten minutes. Sunday night, I let Boo out around 9pm; he has not come back since. We have posted fliers throughout the neighborhood, connected with those who live behind us and close to us, hoping that Boo is hiding and will come out eventually. We have searched for him at night with our flashlights, going up and down the block calling his name and also going through the alley. He is my 9 year old's best buddy. Those two have a true connection, and my son is absolutely devastated and worried about his feline companion.

Emma Leigh Between dusk & drawn shake treat bag calling his name, softly. Post on Nextdoor app. In your local area. Neighbors may have seen something or possibly have him inside. Be patient have faith. Is he microchipped? If so call company check all your info and ask them to flag him missing/lost. ❤️

Robin Mizerek thank you so much. Your spirit is giving me hope! The hardest thing has been comforting my nine-year-old. Because he wants to guarantee that Cat will come back, and I told him I can’t guarantee that. But I did tell him that there’s a lot of reason to be hopeful. We’ve put a blanket out front and a towel, outback that had our other cat sent and my son sent on it. I did put food out; is it suggested to not put food out because then they won’t come back inside the house? The Arizona Humane Society did not suggest to put the litter box outside, because they said it will attract more cats, and if your cat is already scared to come home, that’s not exactly helpful. I am convinced he’s around here hiding. I just don’t know where. We’ve gone out at night with the flashlight calling him. I’ve read that you shouldn’t call them because they’re gonna go into scared mode and stay still and quiet because they’re trying to protect themselves. But if I don’t call him, how does he know we’re looking for him? I did not think about walking out around dawn. These are really wonderful suggestions, we’re going to update the flyers and pass out some more with additional photos of him. I told my son that people who love animals will go the extra mile to help out someone who is missing a pet. The hardest thing is just watching him cry and feeling so powerless to comfort him. 😔💔

For Lost cat do immediately Cats do not wander far from home. Try putting some of your dirty clothes outside sometimes a familiar smell helps them find their way home, even their cat bed. Put water out but no food. Cats usually don't go far.. They hunker down in the daytime especially in the heat and come out at night. Put up fliers talk to neighbors check under shrubs, sheds anywhere it is quiet and safe and would make a good hiding place... Check at night with flashlight don't give up💕sharing with prayers. Make sure he isn't locked in a neighbors garage. Dusk and Dawn walk neighborhood shaking a treat bag calling his name. Sending prayers🙏 There is controversy about putting dirty kitty litter box out, some say "Their" smell attracts other animals(coyotes etc) and others say it helps the cat find it's way home. Your call on this. If microchipped check info to make sure current and ask company to flag as Missing/Lost. Don't give up❤️Post on your local NEXTDOOR. Since they don’t go far possibly a neighbor has seen. Put up flyers
