For lost cats: Alert neighbors. Post in NextDoor, PawBoost, your local animal control & humane society. Post signs everywhere.

Generally they don't go very far. Try leaving the door cracked open particularly after it gets dark. It may come back in on its own. If possible, set up on Arlo camera or motion detector to see when it is coming around. Leave out food & water so it can survive. Cats often hide in storm drains. Try sitting in your car at the street with the car not running. You can watch your house to see if it is coming around. Yes it can take hours. Continue to walk at night & call it. Leave the garage door up about 6 inches so she can come in. You may need to set a humane trap in the area where the cat was lost but Don't leave unattended. People steal traps with animals in them. Don't give up - sometimes it can take a week or two to find them.
