Please scan him for microchip. Any vet clinic can do it. Report to shelter that you found him, in case his owners look for him there. I think in Guilford County it might be illegal to give/rehome a found dog to someone else for five days, as you're supposed to give owners some time to post flyers, post online and search for their animal. Probably best to contact shelter and confirm the rules. That breed is expensive, owners are probably looking for him. Thank you for keeping him safe! Hope owners show up soon! 🙏

Thank you, kind human, for keeping this Beautiful dog safe and contained! 🤗 Obviously someone's pup; they may be unaware their pup is out ! (So many pets are hit and ed before they're able to be safely returned home. 😔) 🐾 Any vet’s office will scan for microchip for free. 🐾 Not everyone is looking for their lost pets online, so it’s important to TALK to neighbors in the area. 🐾Check pawboost for LOST pets. 🐾Contact shelter with description and location: may be first place family is looking. 🐾Posting "found dog" on a simple cardboard, along with your phone number, posted close can be extremely helpful. Have any caller identify dog FIRST (specific markings, photos, vet records) Though most people are good, some will claim free pets for dog fighting bait 🤬or other unkind reasons. 🥹💖THANK YOU for caring enough to Act and help make our community a safe and caring place for everyone, especially these vulnerable animals, who rely on humans for their care 💗
