Thanks for bringing inside to safety, food and water. Can you take it to a vet to scan for chip? The vet may also recognize the dog and be able to contact its owners. Check with other local vets as well and contact the police. Also post fliers. Also keep checking Nextdoor and Pawboost for dogs lost in and near your zip code.And beware of bad actors!!!

Please notify local police and local shelters and choose one of them to scan for a chip. Please don’t give the dog to anyone who offered to hold and please do not rehome. Owners might not be on Facebook or any social media at all and shelters and police are where they will be calling and looking. If anyone tries to claim the dog, please ask for pictures that are showing something that is different from what you did like the other side of the dog, for example, and also perfect ownership papers, and that exchange is most safely done at the police station. Thank you.

Police and Shelter need information of this dog immediately. Thank YOU for requiring Proof if someone tries to claim... A Veterinary Clinic or Police can check this dog for an ID chip🐕 Please notify non-emergency Police where frantic families call when their beloved pet is missing ..Shelter too 🙏🏻❤️
