Adam Sturgess yes, animal services picks them up and takes them to a shelter…Fontana takes them to SB County, which is a shelter. They were being fed and watered by us and another home overnight, but neither of us could get them into our yard as one was skittish. With a little more time, we could have done so and then called a rescue. Now they risk euthanasia. I’m aware that not everyone knows the process but huskies are a common breed at shelters because they are underestimated in their ability to escape, so they can stand a higher chance at not being adopted. I’m incredibly sad they are now in this position. Fontana drops the ball by not having a shelter and people need to be aware that calling the city doesn’t make them a hero; calling a rescue or letting others help literally saves lives.

Donna Biroczky a shelter did not pick them up. animal services of Fontana did. The dogs had been roaming for a few days during very hot weather. They were exhausted, thirsty, and hungry. When water and food was presented, they drank the water like no tomorrow.

Adam Sturgess breaks my heart someone thought that letting them be picked up by a shelter that euthanizes dogs, not a Husky rescue, was a good idea before there was ample time for others to step in. People need to realize what happens to lost dogs here and that there are options. How sad.

Both dogs were picked up by fontana animal services and taken to San Bernardino City Animal Shelter.

Marilyn Beal they ran off but they have returned a few times. A house around the corner is also trying to feed them and get them inside but with no luck.
