I’ve seen your posters in the area. Just going to suggest maybe putting a few in the neighborhood where Ronald st is if you haven’t already. Looks like that’s close to where he went missing. When my friends cat went missing a few weeks ago she went missing on Heather ct and was found in that neighborhood on Estelle. I hope you find him soon. I’ve been looking out and it seems people in the Vandalia Facebook group have as well. 🙏🏻🫶🏻

I would put his litter box outside, under cover, along with some really smelly cat food and some clothes you wore recently to attract him. Keep an eye on it. Some people say not to put the box/food out because it might attract predators. I have known it to work. Check carefully around the outside of your house and your neighbors’ houses. Cats don't usually go far initially and they can tuck themselves into unbelievably small and unusual spaces. One person found her cat hiding in the grill on her patio after searching for three days. Go out late at night when it's quiet and call him softly. Make large, easily read flyers and post them around your neighborhood with the cat’s picture and your contact info. Post a lost ad on nextdoor.com. Ask your neighbors to check garages, sheds, under decks - anywhere a cat can hide and get shut in. Borrow a trap from a shelter or vet. Don’t give up. Good luck!

Post him in the “All things Vandalia-Butler Township (Ohio)” group. People are very helpful in that group when finding pets. My friend’s cat recently went missing and it was because of the group she was found. Make sure you walk around during dawn and dusk. Cats are most active then. If you add your phone number in the post just be aware of scams. People asking for money and lying saying they found your pet (this has happened to me in the past). Try walking around and telling people and posting signs. Some people don’t have social media and don’t know to look. Use neon poster board and you can use plastic wrap to wrap it around poles in the area he’s missing so it’s protected from weather. Cats usually don’t go too far. They usually stay within a 1/4 mile radius of your house. Try looking in bushes, under sheds, porches, garages, under cars. My parents and friends live in this area. I will tell them to keep an eye out for your kitty. I hope he comes home soon. Or someone finds him 🙏🏻💜

Shared ❤️🙏❤️ They usually don’t go far; your boy could be hiding nearby, waiting for things to quiet down. I’ve heard people have had success going outside and just sitting quietly near their door around dawn or dusk, and maybe calling his name softly, and let him come out in his own time. If he has a favorite treat, maybe have a little bag you can rattle softly & hold out a few for him to smell. Don’t give up! ❤️
