If you can, please take the dog out for walks in the area you found him. The owners may be driving around looking for him. Also, take him to a vet to see if he is chipped (it's free). Thank you for taking care of the sweet dog in the meantime.

So good of you! Just please be very careful; don't give to just anyone who says it’s theirs. Get proof and not only photos (can be photoshopped). Get vet proof, verify actual vet, look up number separately, call and verify.
