Smallish (not a kitten) brown Tabby with black spot on its chin

This kitty has been showing up off and on in my backyard since Friday, mostly sleeping under my lemon tree. It's very skittish and runs away when approached. I've put water out for it but not food, hoping it would go . It doesn't appear to be malnourished but I'm concerned it may have recently gotten lost or been abandon at Indian Rock Park as 2 of my current indoor cats were. There are coyotes in this neighborhood so I'm concerned about its safety especially at night. I can't catch it to bring it in and my 3 indoor cats wouldn't welcome it if I could.
