Description

Uniquely marked orange/cream & white young male cat. Circular pattern on each side of body, rings on tail. NOT a true tabby pattern. Behavior is skittish and standoffish, as if he has been stray for a while, but is familiar with humans and knows the sound of a cat food can opening, implying, perhaps, prior ownership by humans. Very curious and intelligent but appears to have been on his own for a while, as he is continually hunting in our backyard, despite us feeding him & seems to roam around an area as if trying to establish territory. He is not a feral cat, but does not meow much at all, sometimes hisses and does not purr, although will allow us to pet him at times and seems to enjoy that. Definitely not an indoor cat, seems to be a roaming juvenile “tom” cat, but maybe he used to belong to you?

My reply to post about this kitty on Nextdoor. Well Paul sure does get around😂 we're on Normandie and he also comes to visit us several times a day and we're also feeding him! He's recently become more affectionate and wants pets. (We call him Paul or OP!) I posted a pic of him on Pawboost May 11th and no one responded. I picked up a trap at the humane society and am planning to take him in to be neutered and get vaccinated and bring him back. We've grown quite fond of him but our two cats are not fans. They don't fight with him but he and they occasionally hiss and growl. We really don't know what we'll do after he's fixed. We'd love to adopt him if our cats can tolerate him but he may hate us after his trip to the humane society😄

🐾 Please post a few flyers around the neighborhood where he was found. Maybe he has a family looking for him, who don’t have a social media account. 🔍 Can you please give him a little food and water? If he’ll let you maybe have him checked for a chip at Petco, Petsmart or a vets office? They will do it for free. If no one claims him PLEASE take him to a SDHS NO shelter or reach out to a Cat Rescue, they will trap him and find him a good home. He won’t last more than a couple of days with coyotes roaming our neighborhoods. Thank you for your help and kindness with this poor little kitten🙏🏼
