When you find or lose a pet: NOTIFY One of these Animal Protection Services. You will be transferred if the call belongs to another area: 1. Clark County 702-455-7710 2. City of Las Vegas 702-229-6444 (They often are unable to answer their phone. Ask the dispatcher to take your message and forward it to them.) 3. North Las Vegas (702) 633-9111 4. NOTIFY PawsPatrolLV.org - Text/call: 725-331-3319 or email: pawspatrollv@gmail.com Give the cross streets where the animal was lost or found. If someone contacts PawsPatrolLV, PawsPatrolLV then will be able to get in touch with you. Leave a message. They are volunteers and are excellent at what they do. 5. NOTIFY The Animal Foundation in case the Owner contacts them. Located: 655 N Mojave Road, Las Vegas, Animal Foundation hours are 11AM-7PM Tuesday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. Call (702) 760-7387 for help! OR: (702) 955-5932 ext. 932 - Or by Email: lostandfound@animalfoundation.com The Animal Foundation is the central clearing house for lost and found pets. The Animal Foundation is the facility to which the Owner first will be directed to search for their pet. The Pet Owner has 72 hours to collect their pet at The Animal Foundation before the pet will be placed for adoption. 6. Post on Pawboost.com. Just close out when you come to the “Pay page”. Your post will still go up. Very important: Pawboost offers that you can print Flyers to post around your area. Keep checking your posts to see that they have not been removed. 7. You also can handprint some Lost/Found flyers around your area. Check often to see that your notices have not been removed because many areas frown upon lost/found posts. 8. If you have FOUND a pet and after you have NOTIFIED The Animal Foundation, please HOUSE THE PET IN YOUR HOME for a short time, if possible, until the OWNER can be located. 9. Post also on - Petcolove.com - https://petcolove.org/lost/create-account/start/name/ - Make a listing on “Petco Love Lost” and upload your missing pet’s picture. Their website uses an AI model that will automatically match other listings that may match the picture of your missing pet.

December 31? Have you posted prior to now? I ask because the shelters usually keep cats for a very short period of time

If he is an indoor only cat he will not go far. He is hiding close by and will be elusive. Walk up and down your neighborhood while shaking your favorite bag of food or treats or whatever brings your kitty running to you at all times of morning , day and night. You may also want to consider using one of those toy laser lights at night to bring your cat out of hiding. Knock on neighbor’s doors and give them a good contact number in case they see him. Very important in case they are stuck in a garage or shed or God forbid even hurt. Not everyone will see your fliers and post. If you have a garage or front door, leave it cracked open just enough for kitty and leave bedding or clothing that has your scent, also leave food and water, but be aware of predators. Remember in most cases, he will be close by, so don’t give up and keep looking. You may want to consider borrowing or buying a humane trap. Be persistent and consistent and most importantly, Don’t Stop Looking! Not all cats will just show up at your door. It took us over a month to get our kitty home with the help of neighbors. God Bless you and your fur babies. Be aware of scammers. They ask for number codes and money.
