Stray Cat Sighting in Fort Myers, FL 33908

We found this adorable cat roaming around by our garage and front door the past two days. It was skittish at first, but eventually it approached us and has been extremely loving and sweet ever since. The cat appears to be young, probably two years old and is brown with black markings, a short tail, large yellow-green eyes and appears healthy. We are unsure of the gender but think it’s likely a boy.

We found this adorable cat roaming around by our garage and front door the past two days. It was skittish at first, but eventually it approached us and has been extremely loving and sweet ever since. The cat appears to be one to two years old and is brown with black markings, a short tail, large yellow-green eyes and appears healthy. We are unsure of the gender but think its likely a boy. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to have cats in our , so we ordered a cat carrier and plan to take the cat to animal services as soon as the carrier arrives—provided the cat is still around and allows us to place it inside the carrier. We called all the shelters and they were full so animal services seems to be the only option if no one claims ownership. We live in a preserve with lots of predators and with hurricane season approaching we don’t want the cat remaining outside for safety reasons.
