Got out on Friday and we couldn’t find him. He was hiding under our car and ran out as we were driving away. He is very friendly but can be scared easily.

Put out a dirty piece of clothing from her favorite person. If you have a garage, open the door just enough for her to crawl in and leave her bed or litter box in it. Also, follow Jan Shrum's reply.

I'm sorry kitty is missing. The number one piece of advice is to actively work to bring your cat home. Don't just wait for them to show up. Hang fliers--they work. Notify the microchip company that he is missing. Visit local animal controls in person. Notify local veterinarians. Post to the Next Door app for area lost. If kitty is normally indoors only he is likely very close to home. Sit quietly outside at night w a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Put out stinky mackerel or canned pink salmon. A trail cam can be helpful. You might need a live trap. Don't lose hope. Best of luck. https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-pet-behaviors/kitty-litter-myth/

If Your Kitty is normally an INSIDE cat... then he/she is definitely scared and hiding and you will need to go out at NIGHT with a flashlight and look for her/his “glowing” eyes. She/he is VERY CLOSE to your home most likely in YOUR OWN “yard”. Indoor cats usually find a hiding spot very quickly and very close to where they escaped. Look up in the trees and check under everything in YOUR “YARD” first… under decks, bushes, wood piles and sheds. Then check your neighbors “yards”. They are very good at hiding. THE BEST TIME TO FIND Him/her IS AT NIGHT WITH A FLASHLIGHT AND HER/HIS EYES WILL “GLOW” BACK AT YOU. He/she is so scared, she/he will NOT respond to you calling, so you'll have to use your eyes instead of your ears to find her/him. When normally inside cats are suddenly outside, they go into "survival mode" and their entire personality changes. They will NOT wander. They find a hiding spot very close by and are very scared and will not come out for anyone... even their owners. I hope you find your fur-baby very soon!

Margaret Gillerman we walk the neighborhood twice a day and have been talking to anyone who is out. I have a feeling he found a good hiding spot and is too scared to move. We are gonna try going out at night tonight with a flashlight. 🫶🏼 appreciate you!
