Description

Black and white tuxedo shorthair. She is polydactyl on her front paws, making it look like she's wearing mittens. She's spayed and up to date on shots. She's a socialized feral and likely to be wary. Her tabby companion misses her as well.

Nobody nearby has a garage or shed other than me, it's a neighborhood with small old houses. I have checked mine. She's also really loud when she wants to be, she wouldn't stay quietly trapped anywhere unless she was also gravely ill or injured. It's not looking good, especially since the tabby is staying around. If Kira was anywhere in sound or scent range of her, she'd most likely be spending time wherever Kira was, and only coming back to eat. Instead she's spending time where she expects Kira might show up, and periodically wandering around the yard to check the other spots she'd expect Kira to be.

Melita McFall Hoffman she could be locked inside someone’s shed or garage or like you said trapped by someone. Hoping you can find her.

Thanks, but she's a socialized feral; she's been outdoors her whole life. She's not lost, 'missing' would probably be more apt. She knows her way around, so her not returning means she can't. Which probably means she's met with some kind of fatal misadventure, unfortunately. I'm mainly listing her in case someone trapped her as a feral (she's not ear-tipped, because I was hoping to make her into a pet eventually), or someone maybe took her in as a stray (she might trust someone who fed her.) She's a naturally lithe cat much like a Siamese, so someone might think she wasn't getting fed. I have cameras on the colony feeding stations, and the last time she was at one was Monday night. She and the tabby generally stay in my fenced back yard, and run off any others to the other feeding station. Not sure why she left the yard, other than that the cooler weather has all of them feeling frisky and kittenish, chasing leaves and each other (all spayed/neutered).

Go outside late at night or early in the morning with a flashlight and call her in your normal voice while shining the light under bushes and places she can hide. Also have neighbors check their sheds and garages, put flyers up in your area and check the animal shelter.

Looks like the one that I have had for 6-7 months in my yard. Someone dumped it and I have been giving it food trying to find it a home. Hope you find yours.
