Check in bushes and under cars near your home, and check on the next street over, especially in the evening with a flashlight, calling out to her and making a familiar sound. Ask neighbors if they might have seen her, and when they last did if they have. Ask them if she might be trapped in their garage or shed. I hope she is found soon🙏🏻

My personal experience has been first securing other cats in another closed-off room, dimming/turning off most or all inside/outside lights and — if safe to do so and should be supervised — leaving doors (especially door/window escaped through) open/ajar in the very early morning (basically, need to camp out in room where door is ajar). (Cats have a keen wide-ranging/radius sense of smell; therefore, it is so important to get their familiar “home” scents into the airwaves.) Every time, my little escape artist has come bolting through the door between 3:00 — 5:00 AM. (NOTE: When he’s escaped and door is closed, he panics and takes off again — it is important they have a way in once they come out of hiding and make a mad dash for home.) Hopefully, if not used to being outdoors, MAGA is very close by just scared to come out until it’s really dark and really quiet. Prayers for a quick safe return !!🙏🏻

.Please place its bedding 🛏outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a can of tuna 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well...supervise food outdoors. Also vacuumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbo🖼picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call☎️ immediately. Go early in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera 📹to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Best of luck 🍀finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

Post on our local group: Lost and Found Pets Altadena-Pasadena- South Pasadena, CA and NextDoor if you haven’t yet. Tips for Lost Cats If you haven’t yet, leave some articles of your unwashed clothing (socks, shoes, t-shirt, a pillowcase) outside for him/her to smell home. Change these out daily to keep the scent fresh. Never leave food or a litter box out, as this attracts coyotes/predators. 📍>>If you can, starting tonight please leave a door or window (even a garage door) cracked open for him/her to return through, especially during the night when it’s quiet out and when cats are most active; this works well, but may take a few nights if they are in hiding. Leave the articles of clothing near the opening. It helps to leave some food out inside the home to help lure him/her in. Don’t give up - cats typically attempt to return home during the night/early morning hours (~1a-5a).<< (keep any other pets safe in a secure room while doing this) Your cat is probably hiding nearby. Go out late at night w/ a flashlight and look for your cat’s eyes. You can try shaking a treat bag if your cat normally responds to that. Check shrubs, under cars, crawl spaces, up in trees and on roof tops (in case your cat has been chased). If you see your cat outside, he/she may be too scared to come to you - sit quietly and have some tuna, Churu paste cat treats and even a wand-type toy to help lure them over to you. Have neighbors check their garages/sheds. Leave out some water, since it’s hot out. Post signs around the neighborhood (even further out at intersections in case kitty has been chased out of the area), since some people are not on social media. *Beware of scam calls/texts/emails/messages/comments. Post on NextDoor, Ring and on local Lost & Found Pets group pages. Check and notify surrounding animal shelters (Pasadena Humane) and leave flyers there - also, take flyers to vet offices/ER vets, where someone may take your cat for a chip scan. If microchipped, notify the chip company that your cat is missing. Update/verify contact info if needed. If you have motion sensing cameras, check them to see if kitty has returned to the yard. IF she/he is still young, she/he may respond to sweet, gentle meowing sounds - either do this yourself or download a cat communicator type app to your phone and play sweet, gentle, friendly meowing/purring sounds to lure her/him out of hiding. LOST CAT OPEN DOOR Scatter the contents of your hoover bag around the outside boundary of your home - they can scent their way home from miles away, using the familiar smell of your home. If putting out clothing make sure that it hasn’t been washed so that it smells of “you”. Going out late at night/ early morning when it is quieter and less noise distraction around will make it easier for you to hear each other’s calls. If you are calling for him make sure you do this as you walk towards your home not away from it so that if he follows the direction of your voice you’re leading him home, not further away. Also ask any neighbours to check their sheds/ outbuildings in case he’s been inquisitive and got trapped inside somewhere. If he is an indoor cat he is likely scared and hiding somewhere very close by - look under/behind any items/objects that he may be seeking shelter from - under bushes, behind bins etc. when searching at night take a torch - the light from its beam will reflect in his eyes and you will be able to spot him even if he doesn’t respond to your calls. Put up posters in all surrounding streets and inform the microchip company that he is missing.Put out water, and some of YOUR dirty clothes (dirty socks are nice and stinky)/blankets (dry in dryer first to enhance smell). Depending on the weather, you might want to put out a plastic tub with straw for shelter. Go out every morning and evening walking (folks seem successful around 10:30 p.m., but don't go alone) with food/treats in bowl rattling it, calling your cats name. Cats are often hiding within a 5-house radius. Do NOT give up. There was a cat a week or so ago, they went out every night for 5 nights, finally on the 5th night, they heard it's meow, it was trapped in a neighbor's shed. Another was hiding in a tree from the neighbor's dogs. Check buildings, bushes, trees, and storm drains around your house. Also in the house/garage, keep all doors/closets OPEN in case it's hiding in the house. If you can, leave door cracked open from which cat would most likely sneak back in during the night. If desperate, sprinkle your urine near the cracked door as stronger scent guidance. Worked for us!
