flyer tips: • for flyers that you intend to hand out when knocking on doors, slip under doormats or in doors mini flyers (4 to a page) is much more cost-effective than the 8½ x 11 you will need for posting on streets, parks, etc ✅ post/hand out in neighborhoods, street corners, fields/lots, alleys, hiking/biking trails, train tracks up to 5 mi radius. it's best to have a wider radius than a smaller one ✅ post especially in parks. lots of foot traffic at parks. someone may remember seeing a found flyer, him wandering/hiding, or someone with him. many people share flyers they see posted in parks on social media ✅ give to mail carriers, delivery drivers, gardeners and landscapers, trash collectors, school crossing guards, school/city bus drivers, maintenance workers ✅ post at any nearby businesses in their storefront window (with their permission) ✅ take to vets, animal hospitals, groomers and pet stores ✅ take to Pomona PD and Fire Dept. they are often times contacted when the shelter is closed or when animal control is not available

• 2 days ago a pet lost in Pomona was found in Ontario • a senior lost 12 days was never secured and roamed the streets the entire time • a lost pet was found 7+ mi from keep KNOCKING ON DOORS in several neighborhoods, not just to the end of the street. MANY lost animals are SIGHTED or SECURED by SOMEONE NEARBY who may not be on social media. having people check their camera footage might give you his last known location or if someone is seen picking him up. searching a wider radius is better than a smaller one

in addition to creating a scent station in the shape of a wagon wheel, place one article or your slept-on pillowcase up high where the breeze will carry your scent. a dog's sense of smell is exceptionally powerful and can smell their owner's scent from up to 10 mi under ideal conditions. leave the gate, door or garage slightly open in case he finds his way home. and bring in any food you've left out for him by nightfall. leaving it out will only attract predators
