If you haven’t already, notify your local animal shelter and check there daily as necessary! Also put some of your dog’s bedding as well as some of your clothing/blanket with your scent on it outside for it to smell, hopefully enticing it to head home! Keep calmly calling your dog and looking for it…Check places where you may have taken it to before such as a nearby dog park, etc.! And shake a food/snacks bag often! Also post on Nextdoor for your neighborhood! 🤞🏼

- Creating a dog scent station from a rescue who helps reunite pets. Take an unwashed article of THE OWNERS clothing.( Socks , Sheet, Underware & Hang it in a tree ,on a fence , a pole or edge of roof & put an article of unwashed clothes on ground below. The wind will carry the scent. If there is another dog in the home take that dog's fresh poop and rub it on a rag & hang it high . Open your gates. Your garage door , turn on all your lights. Put a rug or towel on porch with a bowl of water. Do not put the dog's bed or the dog's toys outside. The only scent we want is from the owners. Please do this ASAP. Rain or Shine.A dog can find its way back from miles by following a scent. They don't operate like humans on sight or sound. Also saturate the area with bright flyers.& file a lost report with your local shelters and check those in person in case your dog is there.
