Description

She’s a black cat who’s 2 years old and weighs about 8 pounds. She’s friendly but skittish around strangers. She’s never really been outside before.

Message from Owner

I’ve had ghost since she was eight months old and have always kept her inside. My roommates let her out last night and I was up all night searching but couldn’t find her. I have her bowls and bed outside and have been waiting for her but it’s been about 7 hours and still no sign.

It would really help to specify which Kroger in the post.

Please also notify your vet and vets nearby and in the surrounding area in case your pet is brought in for care. Notify any and all shelters and humane societies as well. I have heard it’s helpful to check shelters daily as possible. Please know we are praying! 🖤

Make lost report on City of Bloomington Animal Care and Control’s website. Check the stray holds that their shelter has daily!

Although they can, cats don't generally roam too far from home. Expand your search by a couple of blocks all directions. Go out after dark with a flashlight to see if you can pick up the reflection of his/her eyes. Look in and under everything - bushes, window wells, decks, porches, sheds, open garages, etc. Ask neighbors to keep an eye out for him/her. Try putting outside things that have his/her scent on them, as well as unwashed clothing of your family's, along with something smelly, like tuna. You'll need to monitor to keep other animals away. Someone might suggest putting out his/her litterbox. DON’T! This can attract unwanted visitors that may hinder him/her from coming home.

Which Kroger? Google “finding lost cat” and “lost cat behavior”. 🍀🍀
