Found/Stray Dog in Calaveras County, CA 95249

Young ( maybe between 1-2 years old, While female Great Pyrenees or Great Pyrenees Mix. Approximately 70 lbs. no collar, not chipped. Not spayed. Very friendly.

This adorable dog was lying in the road. I barely missed hitting her, as I was driving down Pool Station Road. I pulled over and with some help from passersby’s, I was able to get her in my car. I stopped and asked a couple of people at two ranches that were close to where I found her, if she was theirs. She is not. I’ve posted on the Next Door App. No reply’s from the family that lost her. I called Animal Services as well as the Calaveras Humane Society to see if anyone reported her as lost… nothing. My husband took her to 4Paws Veterinary Clinic in Angels Camp to be examined, vaccinated and tested for heartworm. She has been given a dose of Simparica Trio for Ticks, Fleas and Heartworm. She was covered in ticks and very very thin. We hope to find her family but we are also hoping to find her a new home since no one is claiming her or looking for her. We have three Great Pyrenees that we’ve rescued and unfortunately our budget can’t afford a third dog. I’m happy to foster her until a loving home is found for her.
