Poor thing but if the owners do not come forward, please don’t take him to an animal shelter as they are overcrowded and euthanizing way too soon. Look into a rescue organization, please.
always ask for proof of ownership. there are people who will try claiming animals that aren't legally theirs. people can generate realistic AI images to fake "proof of ownership". here are some other forms of proof you can ask for
please make a found lost report with the shelter. shelters are the first place families look, and continue looking, and may not be on social media. your report could be the key to a reunion
