Message from Finder

Found this super sweet guy in the Como neighborhood at the dead end of Cole Ave. He came right up to me and let me put him in a kennel. Took him to get scanned but no microchip. He’s clean and seems like an indoor guy, so hoping to find his people!

☆ Thank you for helping this beautiful little soul! Please put in a safe spare room to keep away from all the dangers outside, such as bad weather, coyotes, owls, eagles, raccoons, dogs, poisons, disease, traps, cars, and bad humans! Please don't give to just anyone because there are cruel people out there that get pets for horrible reasons like dogfighting bait and other sickening things! Make sure that anyone who tries to claim the cat has absolute proof of ownership such as photos, videos and veterinarian records or receipts, and can identify specific markings, personality, voice, etc! Most healthy adult cats tolerate temperatures down to about 45-50°F (7-10°C), but prolonged exposure below 45°F (7°C) becomes risky, and freezing temperatures (32°F/0°C and below) pose serious risks like frostbite and hypothermia for any cat, especially kittens, seniors, or sick pets, requiring insulated shelter, unfrozen water, and limited outdoor time to stay safe.

They are usually closer than you think and scared/hiding (unless not fixed). It can be over a week before they venture out for food. Don’t rely on neighbors seeing your missing kitty posts. *Live traps work well but must be monitored often. Talk to all neighbors and physically check yourself all surrounding sheds, garages, under bushes and decks (5 house radius). Give your mail carrier a pic with phone # on it. Search and cross-post on Nextdoor, Pawboost, Petco, Pet FBI, etc. Post to Nextdoor many aren't on FB. If they come back, chip and clip if not already done. 🐱

God Bless those (you!) who tend and provide a safe haven for animals in need - ask for proof positive of ownership (vet info, photos) 💪🏻❤️🙏
