Get your flyers up! Do not rely on social media alone, most of my missing animals come home, because of physical flyers! I do 8X11 in the immediate area 4 per block, the bigger the area 3 per block and so on. I've had the most success with the 4 per page mini handouts of the same flyer. I will give these to the Mailman, UPS, Fedex, Garbage man, Gas stations, Grocery stores. Also fluorescent backgrounds at major intersections 8X11 or bigger. Also law enforcement and animal control. More than likely, it's not going to be your eyeballs. That bring your pet home. Also not everybody has social media. So we need as much help as we can get from the community. So make it easy for them to get a hold of you. and remember the harder you work, the luckier you get! I hope these suggestions help you get your animal home soon and safe. 😉

Thank you for rescuing this sweet kitty. Yes - he likely has or had a guardian - the guardian could have or he could have been abandoned (ugh yes this happens to sweet cats too so sad) He lived inside most likely - some cat rescue people TNR cats then get them adopted out (since they are constantly rescuing cats and TNR'ing is free it's the only way they can keep going). You can take him to any vet or shelter to get him scanned for a microchip (prayfully his chip was regsitered by a guardian who lost him for example then the chip company will contact them) in the meantime could you keep him in your bathroom where it's safe and contained and wont' get in the way of your daily life? I rescue cats and have many resident cats so the first place I put a new rescue cat is in my bathroom with food water litter box and a hard carrier I cover with a blanket and palce one inside - they go in there to get cozy and hide ..or just a blanket in the corner....SO MUCH BETTER THAN OUTSIDE ...and it's all temporary...a few weeks a month...the shelter keep cats in tiny cages so don't feel bad about a small bathroom - again so much better than outside and it's just for now... Bless you for saving his life. ANd yes you are saving his life - i'm sure he has been ignored by others who have seen him and did nothing. Please reach out to friends and family in case someone might be interested in adopting him who you know vs. a stranger (after you've tried getting him scanned and get no info for example). Thank you for being a beautiful human with love and compassion... damia ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
