Lynn Shepherd New I’ve checked with the chip company and he’s not been scanned. I also have a lost alert on his chip. Thanks for making sure though. I definitely could have overlooked that.

Violet Eggert Have you notified the chip company that he's been stolen & also checked contact details are correct? If he's been handed over to a sanctuary they should have scanned him & if they have the chip company will be able to tell you if he's been scanned anywhere

Violet Eggert I'm confused. Why would he be given to a shelter if microchipped to owner? That's the whole point of microchipping being law, so that vets, shelters, charities etc. can identify the owner.

As he's been stolen, please contact the police on 101 and get a crime number. Give this number to the microchip company as this will prevent anyone from changing his ownership details
