Violet Eggert this is my concern, it doesn’t seem likely that the RSPCA would have any reason to be involved, they’re incredibly stretched and it’s honestly quite difficult to get help from them even when cats are sick/injured. And if it had been handled as an abandonment or neglect case there would be an investigation. Something just isn’t quite adding up. I’d be trying to get as much information as possible from the person whose care he was in. Somebody knows who was contacted and they know where he went. Because the lovely ladies who run many of the lost and found pages have shared so your post so widely it will likely have reached most people in the rescue community by now, and his deformity and bengal markings make him so distinctive he would really stand out. Legally he is your cat, there’s clear evidence with your pics, etc and his chip is registered to you so this is theft. If you struggle to get straight answers from people definitely pursue it with the police. I really hope you get some answers soon, not knowing where he is must be so hard x

Have you reported him as missing to the microchip company ? Depending what cover you have they may do n alert. Also contact local vets as well as rescues. Your kitty will be very distinctive. Hope you are reunited soon. 🐈‍⬛🐾🐈💕

Em Louise I do. The funny thing is his microchip hasn’t been scanned… I have contacted police and they’re processing the potential crime

Jennifer Mclean I was able to get information just now his chip hasn’t been scanned so he hasn’t been surrendered to RSPCA or a reputable shelter. It’s entirely possible then Home Office lied to me concerning his whereabouts. I’m attempting to contact the lady who volunteered to care for him in my absence

Violet Eggert and if you haven’t already check with Bowlers Boarding Cattery, the RSPCA have a section there so it’s possible he could be there x

Violet Eggert you should register with AnimalSearchUK and report him there. RSPCA should only be picking up when kitty's are either unwell/injured or incase of abandoned pets or neglect cases. You can also go online and use the chip details to find out who scanned him, ie Vets or who ever scanned. You have flagged him as stolen with the chip company?
