Creating a dog scent station from a rescue who helps reunite pets. Take an unwashed article of your clothing.( Socks , Underware , Sheet ) & hang it in a tree on your property . The wind will carry the scent. If there is another dog in the home take that dogs fresh poop and rub it in the tree. Open your gates. Your garage door , turn on all your lights. Do this ASAP. a dog can find its way back from miles by following a scent. They don't operate like humans on sight or sound.

Had you registered the chip? If not, please go on your adoption paperwork and you will be able to find it. Probably AVID. And you can register the microchip and then report lost. Also, when you get him back, a dog newly adopted from the shelter cannot be left outside, particularly while recovering from neuter. He does not know where he lives. It takes time for decompression. I will search for him and share. If you can find his photos from the shelter, and or if you find the ID NUMBER he was under, I can search for old posts, and there may be additional photos. 🙏
